Central Assembly’s choir and orchestra have evolved for over a century…. but the motivations never change: the adoration of an all-powerful, sovereign God; the praise of a Savior whose death gave us life through mercy and grace; and the invitation of the Holy Spirit to move in powerful ways among us. Central has been in a season of highly participational worship, defined by the efforts of our Worship Choir to lead the congregation into the presence of God as peer worshipers.
On July 2nd at 6pm, members of multiple local choirs will join with the Central Worship Choir and Orchestra for a very special evening, as the entire sanctuary lifts the powerful and timeless songs of Michael W. Smith’s “Worship” album, cinematically reimagined for choir, orchestra, and congregation. This is not a “concert”, but an event uniting the platform and the pews in God-centered corporate worship.
